What is Vertue?
Vertue is a clean, green and cruelty-free health and beauty subscription box with an online shop. We aim to make it easy for you to discover and try award-winning, up-and-coming and well-known brands that are good for your health and the environment. We give 10% of annual profits to environmental, health and food charities and use eco-friendly packaging and suppliers. As supporters of the Real Beauty Manifesto, we believe in purity, compassion, honesty, community, transparency and sustainability.
How does it work?
Every 2 months we deliver to you our Original (5-7 products) box based on a theme to discover and try. Occasionally you will also receive extra samples and gifts. Subscriptions can be for yourself or given as a gift.
Our bi-monthly subscription window runs from the 1st to the 20th of the following month (e.g. 1st March - 20th April). Boxes will be delivered at the end of February, April, June, August, October and December.
We also have a trial box available in the shop for those who just want to try our box out without commitment.
What brands do you feature?
We feature well-known, award-winning and new independent brands. All our brand partners have been rigorously tested and chosen based on their values and ethics. Our criteria include being cruelty-free, natural, certified organic or wild-crafted, sustainably and ethically sourced, eco-friendly and charitable. We will be revealing what brands are featured in each month’s box on our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest accounts.
What products will I receive?
Based on our theme, each box will include products such as skincare, bath, fragrance, hair, makeup, beauty accessories, beauty supplements, health supplements, protein blends and superfoods. Complete the beauty profile to receive products that suit your skin, hair and fragrance type.
What ingredients do they contain?
All products featured are suitable for vegetarians and most are suitable for vegans. If there is any ingredient you do not want included, please complete the beauty profile. All of our brand partners are against animal testing and we avoid the following ingredients: Parabens, Synthetic Colours and Fragrances, Phthalates, Triclosan, SLS/SLES, Formaldehyde, Toulene, Benzophenone/PABA, Petroleum/Mineral oil, Alcohol, DEA/MEA/TEA, DMDM Hydantion, Urea, PEG, PG/BG, Dioxin, Aluminium, DEET, Camphor, Talc and Carmine.
How much are the bi-monthly subscriptions?
Our bi-monthly subscriptions are £30 for an Original box including free delivery. We offer pre-pay plans of 6 and 12 months at a discount.
Do you have special offers or discounts?
Our 6 and 12 month pre-pay plans will give you a discount on the Original box. Our current subscribers also receive a discount in the shop.

When will I be charged?
When you sign up, you will be charged immediately, and subsequently on the 1st of the following subscription month until you cancel.
For example, if you subscribe on March 10th, you will be charged immediately and again on the 1st May.
When will I receive my box?
You will receive your box from the 20th of the month. For example, if you subscribe on the 19th of March, you will receive your box from the 20th of March onwards. If you subscribe on the 21st March, you will receive your box from the 20th of May onwards.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel at any time. Login to your account or contact us at . You can also skip a box if you will be on holiday or don't like the theme. Subscriptions automatically renew. Please remember that if you have pre-paid for your subscription you will still receive all your boxes. You won’t be charged if you cancel before the renewal date.
How do I return an item/box?
Do you deliver outside the UK?
Yes we deliver internationally via Royal Mail Tracked and Signed. Delivery is free within the UK and from £11.50 for countries outside of the UK. Use the drop down menu at checkout for delivery prices. If your country is not listed then unfortunately we cannot deliver there. Any Customs charges are solely the responsibility of the buyer.
